Santa Barbara Water Taxi Frequently Asked Questions
Where do I go to board the Lil’ Toot?
If you are boarding from the Santa Barbara Harbor, we dock in front of the Maritime Museum, which is located next to Brophy Bros. If you are joining us from Stearns wharf, we dock across the pier from the Moby Dick Restaurant. Please see our Santa Barbara Waterfront Map for more information.
How long is the boat ride?
Our harbor tour is approximately 15 minutes and takes you to many of Santa Barbara’s most popular restaurants and destinations.
What do I need to bring?
Santa Barbara can be warm during day and cool in evening, so it’s a good idea to wear layers or bring a light jacket. We also welcome onboard surfboards, strollers, bikes and well-behaved dogs.
When does the Lil’ Toot depart?
We offer boat trips that depart every half hour from Santa Barbara Harbor and Stearns Wharf everyday from 12:00 pm to 6:00 pm (Summer) and 12:00 pm to Sunset (Winter). Sterns Wharf departures start at 12:15 pm and continue on the quarters and three quarter hour. Santa Barbara Harbor departures start at 12:00 pm and continue on the hour and on the half hour.
How much does it cost to ride the Lil’ Toot?
One-way fare aboard our Santa Barbara water taxi is $4.00 for adults and $1.00 for children. Return trip tickets may be purchased at the kiosks on each side of the harbor.
Do I need to make reservations?
Our Santa Barbara sunset cruises and boat tours are offered on a first-come, first-served basis. We do accept reservations for private charters and special events.
Where do I park?
