When Lil Toot isn’t hosting guests on Santa Barbara Sunset cruises, sightseeing boat tours, private charters or making trips every half-hour between the Santa Barbara Harbor and Stearns Wharf, we’re living life on the Santa Barbara Harbor (and loving it!)

Last weekend, we helped fellow Harbor-ites in need.  Below is a sweet thank you letter that we received (with a great photo of our smiling Lil’ Toot to boot!)

Hi Fred and Little Toot employees,

Thanks for the helping hand from Little Toot and staff today.  Our friends kayak tipped her out and your crew came to help.  Nothing like seeing a smiling face on a boat and crew when you are in a situation like that..  Kudos and thanks to all involved…you were a tremendous help. Our friend got back to shore safely after you so kindly called Harbor Patrol.

SB Water Taxi Makes Yacht News!

Santa Barbara Water Taxi was recently featured in the Log (California’s Boating and Fishing News) about our new boat (well, actually a 46-passenger yacht!) that will be offering private charters, dinner cruises, weddings, corporate events and more later this summer.

Like I always say, “The best view in Santa Barbara is from the water” We are looking forward to offering more ways to celebrate Santa Barbara.  Stay tuned form more news!

Continuing the efforts by crews in late 2010, Marina One’s construction is still under way. Marina One’s “O” finger is currently under construction, with crews working incredibly quickly to get boat owner’s back in their usual slips.

All of the resident boats are displaced among other fingers in the harbor and the newly constructed finger is being prepared to install water and electricity capabilities. All the while, the avian locals are really enjoying the vacant docks for themselves. Come ride the Lil’ Toot to check out the pelicans, seagulls, cormorants and more on O Finger.

Last week, Captain Fred Hershman and the Lil’ Toot were honored by the 425th Civilian Affairs Battalion for his support during their Family Day 2011. The Lil’ Toot shuttled the soldiers and their families around for the day, allowing the children to help drive the boat and give the families the great day they deserved.

The 425th Civilian Affairs Battalion and other units involved in civil affairs enter areas no longer in the heat of war and help rebuild communities, support local police and get involved in local politics to help ensure that the towns are rebuilt correctly for the civilians to help begin the next step in their lives; hopefully a time of peace.
